In 2005, Hallmark Partners and Stiles Corporation purchased 18 acres of land for a new proposed shopping center, The Shoppes at Murabella. The property is located in one of the fastest growing areas of St. Johns County. Situated at the intersection of SR 16 and Pacetti Road, it is part of an overall planned development known as Murabella. When completed, Murabella will have approximately 1,000 residential units as well as 145,000 square feet of commercial development.

Construction of the shopping center was completed in February of 2009. A total of 100,000 square feet of retail space catering to the surrounding residential communities is planned, including a Publix Supermarket as the anchor. Almost 25,000 residential units are permitted or in for final permitting within a five mile radius. The excellent location combined with all of the quality housing coming on line bode well for the future success of this center.
